Green Library 1: Recent activity

I was thinking of opening up the library to the courtyard to provide more space for students who want to read or study. I was also going to add the second floor because the there is nothing taking up the space above. I am literally "raising the roof" one could say.

Your photos are good Luke. They give a clear representation of what the IMC is like. You mention a need for more space. I'm curious to see where this space will come from. Have you visited any other libraries in the area? How about the new one here in Glenview.

I have to say i think your existing library actually seems pretty nice at first glance - nice natural light, clean, fairly spacious.

How do you think you will approach your design project?
Will you look at providing an addition?
Would the current configuration of the school and site allow for an addition?
Do you think it's possible to make the improvements you want just by reconfiguring/redesigning the current space?
Can you provide some exterior photos of the building as well?
