The kitchen for the affordable house.
There is a lack of affordable homes in Las Vegas so if there were some to be built it would help the community a lot. Consolidating mainly on Las Vegas almost about 50% of the people make under the median household income. The area of my site(89032) is dominated by hispanics black and white as well as ages leaning toward people above the age of 20. My house design is intended to universally able to be used by all types of people, including new or older college students or new or struggling families. The materials I used including standard shingles and traditional stucco used in the area are cheap but also look nice for the price. The wood siding is tiger wood siding which has a good price of 2 dollars for a 1x6 board. I got a majority of my information from sites like http://www.city-data.com/zips/89032.html#ixzz4KoRPQTzu .
The site I have selected is located at W Craig Rd and Clayton St 89032 North side of Craig Rd, East side of Clayton St. The nearby buildings like WallMart, restaurants services like auto shops some schools even in walking range from the site. The majority of the house is made out of your everyday stucco used everywhere in the Las Vegas area. ABC supply provides cheaper yet usable stucco that helps lower the price of the house. The wood siding is there to create a more stylish aspect of the house to make the client more confident in their affordable home. Tigris siding provided by Advantage Lumber would suit my needs perfectly for this house project. The shingles would just come from Lowes because they are not that cheap anyway. The three bedrooms can all be used for either a private or public space. Having my living room and kitcehn adjacent to each other makes the public environment very lively and open.
