cabarraza01's Bus Shelter Redesign
Define
In todays bus shelters, they are quite minimal and have little to no space for what is necessary to have with you. Our current bus shelters need more space for peoples luggage, or a place that could be useful for those who are wheelchair bound. I intend to add more seating space so everyone can have a chance to sit down and to add floor space for those who again, are wheelchair bound. This bus shelter is meant to help protect those who are waiting for the bus with materials that can help withstand strong wind, rain, and snow.

Chicago bus shelters currently don't have much to offer to its citizens. I have learned that Chicago bus shelters offer little to no sitting space for everyone who rides the bus. Around the world, other cities tend to offer more compared to Chicago and others offer less such as nothing at all. In the aerial photograph, its seen that there is no bus stop near the corners. The bus shelters should be located in the middle of the street because if it were to be located in the corners, it wouldn't be the best place to pick up people since the bus can create a holt for those who are trying to turn into the street.

Some necessities that are needed in a bus shelter in space for those who are wheelchair bound and enough sitting for those who are waiting for transportation. Another necessity is storage space for people with luggage. A "Nice to Have" category may be fans and lighting. I would like to have enough space to acommodate at least 20 people. Each person should be able to sit comfortably on the benches. With the size of this bus shelter, it much more bigger compared to more "normal" ones but it can definitely add a lot more benefits. The bus shelter will also be made off hard withstanding glass and wood.
