Who? I am designing for the residents of Little Italy. Where? I am designing at 1340 West Taylor Street, Chicago, IL 60607. Specifically in a parking lot 125ft by 75 ft. This plot of land is 9,375 square feet.

Chicago, IL Population: 2,720,556 Square miles: 227.8 11,943.9 per square mile Site demographics: 51% female, 49% male. 32% white, 31% black, 6% Asian, 29% Hispanic. Site economics: $31,641 per capita income. 20.9% poverty. High Crime rate, robbery here is 4 times national average $50,702 is the median household income. Site's Surrounding Area: middle school and high schools. Residential area, no high rise buildings, lots of parks and fields, diners and resturants, university is few blocks away, hospitals.

I researched what typical libraries have. I put in the basic structure with the necessary spaces.

I used Autodesk Revit 2017 to create my model.

I stuck to my idea. I made changes and tweaks to the structure and circulation.
